Getting a New Drawing Tablet!!
Does anyone else hate the feeling of being excited? I'm finally getting a new drawing tablet tomorrow (Cintiq 16) after drawing on a 13 year old machine (Cintiq 12WX).
This is a huge upgrade!
Most notably this upgrade lies in the Wacom Pro Pen 2. This is the most advanced pen technology available. Wacom has been making pens for 36 years so this pen alone is a piece of art in itself. It has 8x the amount of pressure sensitivity than the 12wx which is absolutely mind-blowing!
Compared to my old work horse which stands up to the test of time, the Cintiq 16 has twice the resolution, 50% more area to draw on while being the same weight, the surface has more of a texture/grit to it just like real paper does instead of being slippery, it has less parallax, AND it has a cheaper retail price than when the 12wx first came out 13 years ago!
Additionally, after comparing to competitors (Huion, XpPen, Apple Pencil) out there, Wacom tablets are just still is the BEST available product for professionals out there (but arguably not for it's price). Those aforementioned brands are just fine, and I would certainly recommend those two brands to illustrators who are just starting out or if you're on a budget and aren't nitpicky about the new pen like I am. Anyways, those competitors are finally starting to catch up to the 36 years of experience that Wacom has making tablets.
I was seriously considering buying the Huion Kamvas Pro 16, 200$ cheaper and EXTREMELY close in quality, but just not quite at the level of the Cintiq 16. However, the difference are so incredibly small and the differences between the two are just non-existent to those artists who don't already have a established workflow.
Wacom just fits all the boxes I need as an illustrator who relies on making sleek and weighted lineart and I'm just as excited now as I was when I first got my Cintiq 12WX or even my first drawing tablet when I was 12 years old.
Technology is amazing!
I'm looking forward to working with a new tool.

1. Why did you join DeviantART?
I joined deviantART a decade ago (on another account) so that I could share one of my most favorite hobbies with others, and to explore and learn from other people's artwork! It's been a great journey.
2. What does your username have to do with you?
I created the name, iMoosker, during my freshman year of college. I wanted a username that had zero searches on Google so that I can see how my social media presence grows. Now if you Google my name, there's over a thousand, which I think is kind of neat.
3. What is your current avatar of?
The avatar is of one of my first wolf OC's. The avatar base is from BronzeHalo !
4. How many watchers do you have, and how many people are you currently watching?
I'm watching 324 deviants, which 443 deviants watch me.
5. Do you have more than one account?
Yep, this includes the first account I ever made, a decade ago, but I won't say what it is so that y'all don't look at the horrors I used to create.

Usually, I will simply favorite, but if something about a piece really strikes me then I will comment.

Digital drawings of animals in interesting situations; occasionally I will draw people in strange scenarios as well.

Meh, nope. Don't got time for that no mo'.

Ugh, has to be this one. Every time I look it gives me shivers.

I've had a premium membership for maybe half of my time on deviantART, but recently I simply haven't spent enough time here to warrant needing one.
16. How many hours a day do you spend on DA?
Maybe 24 hours. A year though, not a day.
17. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
Fast-ish? I type at 85wpm. At once point, I wanted to type really fast so I tried to learn to use the Dvorak keyboard, but got bored of it.
18. What is the most annoying thing people ask you?
Hmm... Probably, "can you draw this for me? wait, what do you mean you don't draw for free?"
19. What is the most annoying/offending comment you've received?
Hmm. I haven't really received any that ever stuck. However, I have had people steal my artwork which is quite annoying.
20. What/who inspires you?
Crisp clean lines and the illusion of movement on a still canvas. <3

Always!
22. Do you associate people on deviantART with their icons?
On a subconscious level, absolutely.
23. Have you ever suggested a Daily Deviation?
Yep! I don't quite remember what it was, but a few years back there was a piece of art that was simply mesmerizing and created by a not-so-well-known oil painter on deviantART that I just had to suggest it. I'm not sure if anything came of it! I remember when Daily Deviations were may more noticeable on deviantART. The first thing I used to do was check all of the Daily Deviations. Nowadays with the updated layout, you have to specifically go out of your way to find them. Meh. It defeats the purpose.
24. Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?
Right before I began my first year of college, I considered leaving deviantART for good so that I could focus on my studies. I even left my tablet behind so I could gitguud. However, I was too sad to leave behind a place that had a constant stream of beautiful eye candy, and that held all of my artwork on it, so I've decided to stay.
